MEET DR. THOMAS FORD IN BROOKLINE, MA

DR. THOMAS FORD

Dr. Ford has retired from our practice. We thank Dr. Ford for his years of dedication and service to dentistry and to our patients and we wish him only the best in his retirement. Luckily for us, his wife Kelly will remain with us at the front desk.

I have enjoyed being a general dentist for over four decades, first practicing with my father, Dr. Thomas J. Ford, Sr., on Beacon Street until his retirement in 1988. I then moved to 209 Harvard Street and continued in private practice until joining Dr. Gary Login’s team in June 2017.

I graduated from Boston College with a degree in Biology, did graduate work in Biochemistry at Brandeis University, and graduated from Georgetown University Dental School, earning a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

I have been a member of the Brookline Dental Society and serve as a member of the Forensic Dental Emergency Response Team for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Over the years, I have earned several hundred continuing education credit hours covering a wide range of topics.

In my spare time, I am a whale researcher and consultant with the Ocean Alliance. I’ve traveled to Argentina, Alaska, Nunavut (Canada), and the U.S. West Coast to study humpback, right, bowhead, beluga, and orca whales. During those travels I discovered several interesting, previously unknown facts about whale anatomy, including the corpus cavernosum maxillaris in all species of baleen whales; barophyllic bacterium in the humpback whale; and how beluga whales control roll and yaw with abdominal fat pads.

Drs. Login, Slater, Feldman and Ford are your experienced Brookline, MA dentists. Call our office today to
